The owner of the Cutler gym in Nyíregyháza came to us with a focused task: he wanted the gym to stand out not just in equipment, but also visually, from the competition. In a gym, the atmosphere is decisive – it's what brings members back day after day, and what separates an average space from a memorable one.
The concept was built on bold, characterful colours and decisive geometry. We combined energetic tones suitable for a gym with the feel of nature. This duality gives the space its real character: there is intensity, but also calm.
The walls received stone-effect and wood-effect wall panels – alternated deliberately, where the space called for a change of rhythm. The stone effect serves as a backdrop for the more serious, heavy training zones, while the wood effect appears in the recovery and quieter areas. The transition between the two material effects is softened with artificial plants: these natural elements bring back a sense of freshness, even during the most intense workouts.
The result is a space that doesn't shout, but is immediately noticed. It inspires without tiring the eye – exactly the balance that sets Cutler apart from generic gyms.
